Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 5 to nominate anyone of the revenue officials for conducting Santhanakappu Festival in Kurunthudaya Ayyanar Kovil, Panangudi Village, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukkottai District on 06.05.2022 along with police protection based on the petitioner's representation dated 07.04.2022.

ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 to 5 to nominate any one of the revenue officials for conducting Santhanakappu festival in Kurunthudaya Ayyanar Kovil, Panangudi Village, Thirumayam Taluk, 1/3
Pudukkottai District on 06.05.2022 along with police protection based on the petitioner's representation dated 07.04.2022.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that he belongs to Panangudi Village. According to him, based on a false complaint given by the sixth respondent, the respondents 1 to 5 are refusing permission to conduct the temple festival in the aforementioned temple. The petitioner has given a representation on 07.04.2022 requesting the respondents 1 to 5 to nominate any one of the revenue officials for conducting Santhanakappu festival in Kurunthudaya Ayyanar Kovil, Panangudi Village, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukkottai District on 06.05.2022 along with police protection. It is also the contention of the petitioner that the sixth respondent does not belong to Panangudi Village, but, belongs to another village. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.
3. Heard Mr.K.G.Arunkumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Lingadurai, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 5.

Mr.M.Lingadurai, learned Special Government Pleader, on instructions, would submit that the fourth respondent is prepared to conduct a peace committee meeting to resolve the dispute between the rival parties for the smooth conduct of the temple festival scheduled to take place on 06.05.2022. The said statement is recorded. Learned counsel for the petitioner is also agreeable to the same.

For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the fourth respondent to convene a peace committee meeting on or before 25.04.2022 for the smooth conduct of the Santhanakappu festival in Kurunthudaya Ayyanar Kovil, Panangudi Village, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukkottai District on 06.05.2022 calling upon all the parties to the dispute for negotiation and thereafter conduct the temple festival on 06.05.2022 in the presence of one of the revenue officials with police protection.
6. With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition stands closed.
