The present Writ Petition is filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to extent the fishing right at Seenimavadikulam, Ammanpuram Village and Ammanpuram Periyakulam, Veera Manickam Village, Tiruchendur Taluk, Thoothukudi District, for a further period of one year from the date of consideration of the petitioner's representation dated 26.02.2021.

2. Admittedly, the petitioner was granted fishing rights for a period of six months only. But it was granted during the pandemic period. Therefore, the petitioner is seeking further to extent the period. 3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that such plea was considered in several writ petitions and the same was declined. Since the period is over, nothing survives for adjudication.

4.However, the petitioner submitted that the petitioner could not effectively utilize the licence period due to pandemic and is seeking a direction to the respondent to consider to refund the amount. 5.This Court without expressing any opinion is directing the petitioner to submit a representation to the respondent to consider the same as per law. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
