Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr.P.Selvaraj Sub-Inspector of Police, Reddiyarchatram Police Station, Dindigul District, is present. On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that the petitioner is an accused in Crime No.72/2017.

2. In the light of the law laid down by this Court in Dorand v. The Superintendent of Police, Nagercoil [2016(2) CTC 286], the prayer of the petitioner cannot be granted. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedies in the manner known to law.
