ORDER
1. This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 8 not to interfere in the civil dispute between the petitioners and the ninth respondent pertaining to the sale agreement dated 02.03.2020 in respect of the subject property bearing Door No.7/267, Periya Kadai Street, Twon Survey No.148/1, 149, Old Survey No.1/513 Part, Paramakudi, Ramanathapuram District.
2. It is the case of the petitioners that the petitioners entered into a sale agreement dated 02.03.2020 with the ninth respondent. Since the ninth respondent has not complied with the terms and conditions of agreement, the petitioners issued a legal notice for revoking and cancelling the sale agreement. The ninth respondent also sent a reply notice dated 26.05.2020 to the petitioners. It is the further case of the petitioners that on the basis of the complaint given by the ninth respondent, respondents 5 2/4
and 6, the Inspector and the Sub-Inspector of Police, Paramakudi Police Station, issued summons to the petitioners and harassed the entire family members of the petitioners under the guise of enquiry. Therefore, the petitioners came forward to file this present Criminal Original Petition.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submits that the complaint of the ninth respondent was treated as petition enquiry and the respondent police have also issued C.S.R.No.273 of 2020. However, the same was closed on 27.06.2020 in view of the subsequent development of registration of the case on the file of the District Crime Branch, Ramanathapuram as against the petitioners and three others.
4. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of as no further orders are required. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
