ORDER

The petitioner is before this Court seeking a direction to the respondent to settle the final bill amounting to a sum of Rs. 30,20,347/-, payable to the petitioner towards the completion of the work.

2. The petitioner was entrusted with the work of laying paver block pavement at Sankaralingapuram, Velayuthapuram, Sivaji Nagar I and II, and Narayanaguru Street, Kovilpatti Municipality,

3. The petitioner claims that he has successfully completed the work and that the bills were also approved for release of payment towards completion of the work. However, the respondent, without affording any valid reason, has not released the bill amount.

4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent, on instructions, submitted that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.

5. The said submission is taken on record.

6. In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.02.2026 on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
