ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by R.SURESH KUMAR, J.) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to produce the body or person by name Thamaraiselvi, daughter of P.Selvam, aged about 19 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.

2. Today, when this Habeas Corpus Petition was taken up for hearing, Mr.R.M.S.Sethuraman, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing for the respondents has stated that, the detenue has been secured and has been produced before this Court.

3. We enquired with the detenue viz., Thamaraiselveli, who would submit that her date of birth is 16.01.2004 and therefore, she became major on 16.01.2022, she fell in love with one Mahendran and she wanted to marry him, which was opposed by the parents i.e., the petitioner also, therefore, she left the parental home and with him she got married and has 2/4

been residing there from February, 2022, onwards with him at Hozur by taking a shelter for rent and now she wants to go only with him.

4. Recording the said statement made by the detenue, this Court feels that there has been no illegal custody on the part of the detenue and hence, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
