ORDER

This petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the first respondent to directing the second respondent herein not to harass the petitioner and her family members based on the false complaint of the third respondent under the guise of enquiry.

According to the petitioner, the third respondent is the daughter-in-law of the petitioner and due to family dispute between the son of the petitioner and the third respondent, she lodged a complaint against the petitioner with false allegations and already the son of the petitioner filed the petition for divorce and the same is pending before the Sub Court, Thirumayam in H.M.O.P.No.72 of 2024. While so, the second respondent frequently called the petitioner for enquiry purpose. Therefore, the petitioner filed this petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the official respondents would submit that the third respondent, who is the 2/5

daughter-in-law of the petitioner lodged a complaint against the petitioner and thereby, for enquiry purpose, they called the petitioner. Apart from that, they have not harassed the petitioner. However, they will complete the enquiry and dispose of the same within a week. They have not harassed the petitioner as alleged by her in the petition.

Considering the limited scope of prayer sought for in this petition, this Court even without issuing notice to the private respondent inclined to dispose of this petition by recording the submission of the second respondent that he has not harassed the petitioner and based on the complaint given by the third respondent, they called the petitioner for enquiry purpose and they will complete the enquiry within a week.

5. In view of the same, this Court directs the second respondent to complete the enquiry within a period of one (1) week from the date of this order.

6. With the above said directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
