ORDER : The Court made the following order :- Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate(Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent.

2. The petitioners apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under sections 498(A) of I.P.C., Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002 in Crime No.Not Known of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that only petition enquiry is pending.

4. In such circumstances, this anticipatory bail petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent police to conduct the investigation in accordance with law and follow the procedure contemplated under Section 41-A of Cr.P.C., in case, if arrest is required.
