PRAYER: Criminal Original petition has been filed under Section 528 of BNSS, to direct the 2nd respondent herein to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his life and limb on the basis of the representation given by the petitioner on 11.03.2025. O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the 2nd respondent herein to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner's life and limb on the basis of the petitioner's representation on 11.03.2025.

2. According to the petitioner, he borrowed money from the 3rd respondent for supply of materials based on the agreement and thereafter, he supplied the materials to the 3rd respondent. But, now the 3rd respondent seeking exorbitant interest for the money. Therefore, he sent a representation to the 2nd respondent on 11.03.2025 and the same has not been considered. Hence this petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents no.1 and 2 would submit that there is a money dispute pending between the petitioner and the 3rd respondent and he did not repay the amount and thereby, he lodged a complaint against the respondents no.3 and 4 as if they demanded 'kandhu vatti' and caused criminal intimidation. Thereafter, they assigned C.S.R.No.238 of 2025 and the same is under enquiry. They will complete the enquiry within 2/4

fifteen days.

Since the prayer of the petitioner is to provide police protection based on the representation dated 11.03.2025 and the same is under consideration by the 2nd respondent, it is for the 2nd respondent to conduct enquiry and pass appropriate order based on the representation of the petitioner dated 11.03.2025. In view of the same, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to complete the enquiry after affording an opportunity to both the parties in accordance with law within a period of fifteen [15] days from the date of this order. However, if any threats made by anybody during the pendency of the enquiry, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the 2nd respondent by way specific complaint.

5. With the above said observation and direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
