ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to give police protection to the petitioner, Visalatchi, aged 20 years, daughter of the fourth respondent and the petitioner's parents from the respondents 4 and 5 and their henchmen.

2.The case of the petitioner is that he fell in love with the daughter of the respondents 4 and 5 herein. She is aged about 20 years and they got married on 12.04.2022. However, the petitioner failed to produce any proof to show that the daughter of the respondents 4 and 5 completed 18 years. But the learned counsel 1/3

appearing for the petitioner produced the photograph, which shows that they got married in the Temple. Now, they are apprehending life threat at the hands of the respondents 4 and 5 herein. Therefore, the petitioner lodged the complaint, seeking police protection before the second respondent.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that if really there is a life threat to the petitioner and his wife, on production of proof to show that they got married and the daughter of the respondents 4 and 5 attained majority, the second respondent would provide adequate police protection for their life and limb at the hands of the respondents 4 and 5 herein.

4.In view of the above, the petitioner and the daughter of the respondents 4 and 5 are directed to appear before the second respondent and produce the age proof and marriage proof and on production of the age proof and marriage proof, the second respondent is directed to provide adequate police protection to their life and limb at the hands of the respondents 4 and 5. 5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
