Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to conform the selection of the petitioner placed in the Combined Subordinate Services Examination-I, 2008 (Group II), in order to initiate further selection process for allotting the appropriate notified post to the petitioner, in consonance with the rules of reservation and consequently recommending the selection of the petitioner to the appropriate department for the issuance of appointment order in the said CSSE-I-2008 (Group II). ORDER

The petitioner was a candidate who took part in the Combined Subordinate Services Examination - 1 for the year 2011-13. She was successful in the written examination. During the certificate verification, it was noticed that she did not obtain her degree after completing her Higher Secondary Course (10+2 pattern). It is seen that the petitioner passed 10th standard in the year 1997. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

She obtained her degree in the year 2003. She passed her 12th standard in the year 2012.

2.In this case, the recruitment notification itself is of the year 2010. Since the petitioner did not obtain her qualification in the prescribed pattern, as per rule 19 of Tamil Nadu State and Subordinate Services Rule, she was rightly denied employment. 3.The writ petitioner has not made out a case for grant of relief. There is no merit in this case. The writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
