Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing respondents 2, 3 and 4 to remove the fifth respondent's name from the Poojari list and appoint Ponnusamy, S/o. Balaiya Pandaram as poojari in the Selva Vinayagar Temple, situated at Polampatti, Thenur, Marungapurai (Taluk), Trichy District by considering the representation dated 23.12.2022. For Petitioner :

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus, directing respondents 2, 3 and 4 to remove the fifth respondent's name from the Poojari list and appoint Ponnusamy, S/o. Balaiya Pandaram as poojari in the Selva Vinayagar Temple, situated at Polampatti, Thenur, Marungapurai (Taluk), Trichy District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 23.12.2022.

2. It is informed by the learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 to 4 that the third respondent vide his proceedings in e.f.vz;.570/2023/m6> dated 23.03.2023 has already initiated enquiry on

the representation of the petitioner dated 23.12.2022. It is further informed that the third respondent has called for an enquiry on 30.03.2023 at 11.00 am. Therefore, nothing survives for consideration in this writ petition.

3. In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate that the third respondent has already initiated proceedings, this writ petition is disposed of. The third respondent shall strive to conclude the enquiry within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
