ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents herein to disburse the terminal benefits and all other monetary benefits including pension to the petitioner herein.

2. The brief facts which are necessary for the disposal of this Writ Petition is as follows:- The petitioner's husband R.Jeyaveerarajan was initially appointed as temporary Junior Clerk in Traffic Section of the 1st respondent on 07.07.1971. Subsequently, he was absorbed as regular employee on 10.01.1972 by the 1st respondent. On 01.03.1995, he voluntarily retired from service. He is entitled for terminal benefits and monthly pension, besides provident fund, gratuity etc., However, in the meanwhile, he passed away on 09.04.2017. Till his death, his terminal benefits were not disbursed and hence, the petitioner made a representation dated 25.01.2019 enclosing all the necessary documents. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition came to be filed. 2/5

3. Heard, the learned Counsels on either sides. Carefully perused the materials available on record.

Considering the limited scope of relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court hereby direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.01.2019 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
