This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 & 2 to provide police protection for constructing an Arch in the petitioner's property situated at T.S.No.1005 Mothilal Street, Kumbakonam Town, Thanjavur District on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 02.06.2020.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, there is no representation for the petitioner.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) would submit that based upon the complaint given by this petitioner, enquiry was undertaken in C.No.39 of 2020 and during the course of enquiry, it was found that there was civil dispute between the parties and as per order of this Court, the parties have given undertaking that they will resolve the dispute by surveying the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.7112 of 2020 and disputed property with the help of surveyor and as such it was closed on 14.02.2021.

4.Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) that the complaint has been closed based on the undertaking given by the parties to the effect that they will resolve the dispute by measuring the property with the help of surveyor, nothing survives for further consideration or direction in this petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
