ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/sole accused apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under sections 420, 294(b) and 506(i) of I.P.C., in Crime No.122 of 2020, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner has received a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- from the de-facto complainant for getting a job in TNEB Department. Thereafter, the petitioner neither secured a job nor refunded the amount. Hence, the complaint. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

3.Eventhough the matter was listed for several times, the learned counsel for the petitioner did not appear. Hence, I proceed to decide the matter on merits.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the State would submit that the petitioner has received a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- and gave a false promise that he will get a job to the de-facto complainant. Thereafter, the petitioner neither secured a job nor refunded the amount.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the fact that the petitioner has cheated the de-facto complainant and gave a false promise that he will get the job to the de-facto complainant, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
