This Criminal Revision Case filed under section 397 R/W. 401 of Criminal Procedure Code to set aside the dismissal order passed by the Principal Sessions Judge, Trichy, in Cr.M.P.No.328 of 2020 dated 24.01.2020.

ORDER:- This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition coming upon for hearing for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/s.T.Lenin Kumar, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Mr.K.Dinesh Babu, Additional Public Prosecutor, for the first respondent, this Court made the following order:

The petitioner filed this petition to extend the time for complying the condition (b) of the order dated 19.02.2020 passed in Crl.R.C.(MD)No.136 of 2020.

2. On the side of the petitioner, it is stated that due to lock down, the petitioner was not able to deposit a sum of Rs.25,000/- to the credit of Crime No.224 of 2019, within the time limit prescribed by this Court. Hence, he prays before this Court that the time may be extended.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has no serious objection for allowing this petition.

4. Considering the reason stated in the affidavit filed in support of the petition, this petition is allowed and the time for depositing the aforesaid amount is extended till 24.07.2020.
