Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to provide additional and enhanced compensation to the petitioner for 1 acre 96 cents in respect of S.No.1584/1 and 3 acres 28 cents in respect of S.No.1585/1 in Kangaikondan village, Tirunelveli district, within the stipulated time fixed by this Court, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 20.02.2024. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to provide additional and enhanced compensation to the petitioner for 1 acre 96 cents in respect of S.No.1584/1 and 3 acres 28 cents in respect of S.No.1585/1 in Kangaikondan village, Tirunelveli district, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 20.02.2024.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has given a representation on 20.02.2024 to provide additional and enhanced compensation to the properties of the petitioner in S.No. 2/5

1584/1 and S.No.1585/1, Kangaikondan village, Tirunelveli district. However, the same is yet to be considered. Hence, the Writ Petition.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the sixth respondent is the appropriate authority to dispose the representation of the petitioner.

4. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the sixth respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.02.2024 and dispose of the same, on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
