O R D E R

The petitioner seeks a direction to the learned II-Additional District and Sessions Judge (Special Court for PCR Cases), Tirunelveli, to consider the bail application of the petitioner on the day of surrender itself.

2. The petitioner is arrayed as accused No.10, in Crime No.175 of 2013 for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 341, 294(b), 297 and 506(ii) of I.P.C., read with Section 3(1)(x) and 3 (1)(x)(v) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, and that in view of the specific bar contained in Section 18 of the said Act, the petitioner cannot move any anticipatory bail application and therefore, the petitioner has come up with this petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent.

petitioner is directed to surrender before the Court concerned within ten days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and file bail application. The Court concerned is directed to accept the surrender of the petitioner in Crime No.175 of 2013 and consider the petitioner's bail application and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law, on the same day of his surrender. 5.This Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
