O R D E R

The petitioner is before this Court seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to cancel the legal heirship certificate dated 14.09.2025 issued by the second respondent in favour of respondents 3 to 6, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 09.01.2026.

2. The petitioner seeks cancellation of the said legal heirship certificate on the ground that she is the biological sister of respondents 3 to 5 and one of the legal heirs of the deceased K. Prammaiya. According to the petitioner, respondents 3 to 5 suppressed the fact that the petitioner is also a legal heir of the deceased and obtained the legal heirship certificate excluding her name. The petitioner further states that she has submitted a representation to the first respondent seeking cancellation of the legal heirship certificate issued by the second respondent. 2/5

3. Mr. S.S. Madhavan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that on receipt of the petitioner's representation, the first respondent will conduct an enquiry. During the course of such enquiry, if it is found that the petitioner is also one of the legal heirs of the deceased K. Prammaiya, appropriate orders will be passed in accordance with law.

4. Recording the above submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.01.2026 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
