Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec. 438 Cr.P.C. ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- Apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 417 and 376 IPC in Crime No.264 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police, the petitioner/Sole Accused has come forward with this petition, seeking anticipatory bail.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police.

The case of the prosecution is that this petitioner, under the pretext of marrying the defacto complainant, had physical relationship with her and subsequently refused to marry her, due to which and mental agony, the defacto complainant attempted to commit suicide, which resulted in registration of the case. 4.

Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that the investigation of the case is pending.

5. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner never had intercourse with the defacto complainant and it

was the defacto complainant, who forced the petitioner to marry her and the present complaint has been lodged in order to indirectly pressurize him to marry her.

6. Taking note of the serious nature of the offences alleged to have been committed by the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
