ORDER

I have heard Mr.K.Ramadurai, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

2. Considering the limited scope of the prayer that has been sought for in the present writ petition, with the consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.

3. The petitioner has filed a revision on 09.12.2024 before the second respondent, challenging the order of the Revenue Divisional Officer. The said revision is pending and the petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of the same.

4. In view of the above narrated circumstances, it would suffice to dispose of the writ petition directing the second respondent to hear the parties and dispose of the petitioner's revision, on merits and in 2/5

accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that challenging the order of the Revenue Divisional Officer, the writ petitioner approached this Court without preferring an appeal before the second respondent herein. Hence, he would pray for any delay in approaching the second respondent be condoned. I find that the petitioner had approached this Court by way of writ petition instead of filing the revision before the second respondent, therefore, the second respondent shall entertain the revision without rejecting the same on the ground of limitation.

6. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
