ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed directing the respondents to provide Police protection on 18.10.2018 and 19.10.2018 in order to facilitate the villagers to celebrate Vijaythasami Mahara Nonbu in a peaceful manner based on the petitioner's representation dated 15.10.2018.
2.The petitioner has the benefit of an injunction order passed by the District Munsif Court, Melur in I.A.No.211 of 2018 in O.S.No.31 of 2018.
https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 3.The said injunction order had been granted since the respondent / defendant viz., B.S.Kaiyambu, did not appear before the
Court, even though notice was served on 04.10.2018. The injunction was to restrain the respondent / defendant from preventing the petitioner from acting as Poojari in Arulmigu Muthalamman Temple and Thellian Karuppasamy Temple at Velichanatham Village, Madurai. Pursuant to the said injunction order, this Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction not to harass and to give Police protection to the villagers.
4.In view of these facts, since the function scheduled to be held on 18.10.2018 and 19.10.2018, the respondents are directed to give necessary Police protection to the petitioner. 5.It is made clear that this order will be applicable only to the functions to be held on 18.10.2018 and 19.10.2018 and not to any other functions. The other issues have to be decided subject to the outcome of the suit.
6.With these observations, the Writ Petition stands allowed. No costs.
