ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner is the Correspondent of Vivekanantha Vidayala Metric Higher Secondary School. The petitioner's grievance is that the TANGEDCO authority are putting up high tension electric wire line above the School premises. The petitioner states that if the high tension electric lines are energised, it will pose grave threat to the students studying in the said School. The petitioner has given a representation dated 04.06.2020 in this regard. The first respondent is the authority competent to take a decision in this regard under Section 17 of the Indian Telegraph Act. The first respondent is directed to take a decision at the earliest in the matter, in any event, not later than 30 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Till then status quo as on date shall continue.

3.This writ petition is disposed of on these terms. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
