ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by J.NISHA BANU, J.) The writ petition has been filed for a direction to the 3rd and 4th respondents to measure all the streets and erect Street Name Board mentioning the Ward Number and Length and Width of the Street and consequently direct the 4th respondent to remove the encroachments as per provisions of the Section 182 of the Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Act 1920.

2. By consent of both sides, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 2/6

3. The petitioner has filed this writ petition as public interest litigation and the petitioner has also sent a representation on 11.12.2024 to the respondents to remove the encroachments and to erect name boards and to measure all the streets.

4. When the writ petition was taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Pleader for the respondents would submit that pursuant to the representation of the petitioner, the respondents have initiated action and the proceedings would be concluded within a time frame.

5. In view of the said submission, the 4th respondent is directed to conclude the proceedings within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
