This petition is filed seeking police protection to the petitioner and her family members' life and limb on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, dated 22.06.2017. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing on behalf of the respondents.

3. The petitioner has given a complaint to the respondents stating that she is a social worker and holding an official position in a political party. She further states that for the past 7 years, she has removed several encroachments in her area by filing petitions and several actions have been taken officially to remove the encroachments at her instance. She further states that she has also filed a writ petition for removal of encroachments and the said writ petition was also closed, after getting the report from the Tahsildar regarding the removal of encroachments. Hence, according to her, the Tasildar concerned and several other persons are threatening her. Hence, she seeks police protection. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) would submit that the petition enquiry is pending and on summons, the petitioner shall approach the second respondent police with necessary documents and the second respondent police will give protection only to the life and limb of the petitioner and her family members.

5. Considering the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), this Criminal Original Petition is closed. However, it is open to the petitioner to file a fresh complaint to the respondent police and that if the petitioner indicates specific individual against whom she wants police protection, the same shall be considered by the respondents on merits and in accordance with law.
