Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to pass orders on the proposal sent by the 4th respondent in Ref.No.CCM/2015: 258 dated 01.04.2015 seeking approval of the appointment of the petitioner in the post of Assistant Professor in History with effect from the date of appointment vide the appointment order dated 19.02.2015 within the time stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R

The Writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to pass orders on the proposal sent by the 4th respondent in Ref.No.CCM/2015: 258, dated 01.04.2015, seeking approval of the appointment of the petitioner in the post of Assistant Professor in History with effect from the date of appointment, vide the appointment order dated 19.02.2015, within a time frame.

2.Mr.R.Anandraj, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3. By consent, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if the proposal sent by the 4th respondent in Ref.No.CCM/2015:258, dated 01.04.2015, seeking approval of the appointment of the petitioner in the post of Assistant Professor in History with effect from the date of appointment, vide the appointment order dated 19.02.2015, is disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4.In view of the limited scope of the prayer, the second respondent is directed to consider the proposal sent by the 4th respondent in Ref.No.CCM/2015: 258, dated 01.04.2015 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
