O R D E R

The petitioner has approached this Court that the respondent police is harassing him in the guise of enquiry.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the petitioner's vehicle is involved in a case in Crime No.77 of 2024, which was registered for the offence under Sections 454 and 380 IPC, on the file of the Avaniyapuram Police Station, Madurai. This occurrence took place on 13.02.2024 at about 08.30 a.m. The case was also registered at about 08.45 hours. Immediately, a complaint was lodged before the Kenikarai Police Station by the petitioner's mother as the petitioner's vehicle has been found missing, for which, CSR was assigned. The investigation officer in Crime No.77 of 2024, has called the petitioner for enquiry as to verify the genuineness of his claim with regard to the missing of his vehicle. But the petitioner without appearing before the Avaniyapuram Police Station, has filed this petition.

3.In view of the above submission, this criminal original petition is dismissed with a direction to the petitioner to appear for enquiry before the Avaniyapuram Police Station, within a period of one week, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The respondent Police shall not harass the petitioner.
