Respondents Prayer: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.09.2014 and submitted for granting permission to the petitioner's mini stage carriage to ply upto Srirangam Rajagopuravasal in respect of his vehicle bearing Registration No. TN 31 A 7576 plying on the route Anakarai to Srirangam Melagopuravasal in accordance with law within a reasonable time. O R D E R

The prayer in the Writ Petition is a Writ of Mandamus praying to direct the respondents to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.09.2014 and submitted for granting permission to the petitioner's mini stage carriage to ply upto Srirangam Rajagopuravasal in respect of his vehicle bearing Registration No.TN 31 A 7576 plying on the route Anakarai to Srirangam Melagopuravasal in accordance with law within a reasonable time. 2.Mr.R.Anandha Raj, the learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents and by consent of both parties, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.The learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner dated 24.09.2014 is disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4.In view of the limited scope of the prayer, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the issue involved, the respondents are directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 24.09.2014, if not already disposed of, and pass appropriate orders on the same and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording the petitioner an opportunity of being heard.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
