Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent herein to issue necessary direction to the second respondent herein to cancel the work order given to the third respondent and do the developing work of laying the road by erecting favour blocks and constructing drainage in Ward No.1, Agathapatti, Sundarapandiam Town Panchayat, Virudhunagar District based on the petitioner's representation dated 12.04.2021 made to the respondents.

2.Heard MrA.Muthukrishnan, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.N.Shanmugaselvam, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 & 2.

W.P.[MD]No.8590 of 2021 3.The petitioner has filed this writ petition styled as a Public Interest Litigation, stating that he has made a representation on 12.04.2021, alleging that the quality of the work undertaken by the third respondent in putting paver blocks in a road in Ward No.1, Agathapatti, Sundarapandiam Town Panchayat, Virudhunagar District, is not properly being done and substandard material is being used by the contractor who has been awarded the contract.

4.Let an inspection be conducted by the second respondent to ensure that the quality of the road using paver block is maintained. 5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
