ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking to punish the respondent herein for his wilful disobedience of the order passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.(MD) No.13506 of 2021, dated 14.09.2021.

2. By the order of this Court, dated 14.09.2021, a direction was issued to the second respondent to complete the investigation and file the final report before the concerned Court within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that the final report has been filed before the learned Special Judge, TNPID Special Court, Madurai, on 07.04.2022. But, it has not been taken on cognizance so far.

4. Since final report has been filed before the concerned Court, nothing survives for further consideration or direction in this petition.

5. Accordingly, this Contempt Petition is closed and the contemnor/respondent is discharged.

6. In the mean time, the learned Special Judge, TNPID Special Court, Madurai, is directed to process the final report within the time stipulated by this Court.
