The present writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the 4th respondent to forward the petitioner's candidature to the 5th respondent as per the proceedings of the 6th respondent addressed to the 4th respondent in Ref.No. 1722/E1/2024 dated 14.03.2024 for being considered to be appointed to the post of Assistant Accounts Officer, Treasuries and Accounts Department, Tamil Nadu.

The brief facts which are necessary for the disposal of this Writ Petition is as follows:- The petitioner is working as Office Superintendent, in the office of the Chief Surgeon Medical Officer, Government Hospital, Thuvarankurichi, Tiruchirapalli District. The 5th respondent called for appointment to the post of Assistant Accounts Officer in Class IV of Treasuries and Accountants State Service by transfer of persons holding the post of Office Superintendents, Commissioner Accountants or Auditors borne on Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service in the scale of pay applicable to Superintendents. The petitioner's name has been sponsored by the 6th respondent for being considered, since he is eligible for being included in the proposal for the year 2022-2023 for the post 3/7

of Assistant Accounts Officer, Treasuries in terms of the communication dated 13.03.2024. The 6th respondent has forwarded the petitioner's name with the requisite details to the 4th respondent and the same is pending before the 4th respondent. However, the 4th respondent has not forwarded the petitioner's case to the 5th respondent. Hence, present writ petition came to be filed.

4. Heard, the learned Counsels on either sides. Carefully perused the materials available on record.

Considering the limited scope of relief sought for by the petitioner herein, this Court hereby direct the 4th respondent to forward the proposal to the 5th respondent with repect to the petitioner forthwith. On receipt of the same, 5th respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of six (6) weeks therefrom.

6. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 4/7
