O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Kuzhithurai, to expedite the trial in S.T.C. No.1959 of 2022.

2.According to the petitioner, he is the accused in this case and based on the complaint lodged by the second respondent, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Kuzhithalai has taken cognizance of the same for the offence under Sections 294(b), 341, 323 and 506(1) of IPC in S.T.C.No.1959 of 2022. Thereafter, no trial has been commenced for the past three years and thereby, the petitioner approached this Court. After filing of this petition, on the side of the complainant, four witnesses were examined and six witnesses have to be cross examined. 3.Considering the long pendency of the case and now the case is also posted for examination of witnesses, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Kuzhithalai is directed to dispose of the case in S.T.C.No.959 of 2022 as early as possible without granting long adjournments beyond 2/4

fifteen days.

4.With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
