Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of MANDAMUS directing the respondent to grant enhanced compensation along with necessary interest, solatium and other benefits or provide alternative site for the acquisition of the petitioners lands in Survey No.42/2 an extent of 01100 Sq.M in Puliyur Village, Tenkasi Taluk, Tenkasi District under the Right to Fair Compensation And Transparency In Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation And Resettlement Act 2013, No.30 of 2013, Section-7 of the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purposes Act, 1997, Tamil Nadu Act 10 of 1999, GO(Ms)No.300, Revenue and Disaster Management (LA-1(1) dated 20/09/2017 No.SRO A-41 (c-3)/2017 and Section 20 of the Tamilnadu Highways Act, 2001 in view of the recommendation sent to the Revenue Department from the Tamilnadu Chief Minister Special Cell in Petition No.TN/REV/TKS/I/CMCELL/21FEB26/17323837 on the petitioners representation dated 12.02.2026, within the period stipulated as prescribed by this Court.

ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to grant enhanced compensation along with necessary interest, https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

solatium and other benefits or provide alternative site for the acquisition of the petitioners lands in Survey No.42/2 an extent of 01100 Sq.M in Puliyur Village, Tenkasi Taluk, Tenkasi District 2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it is suffice to consider and pass orders.

3.Therefore, this Court without expressing any opinion on merits is directing the official respondent to consider the petitioner's claim and pass orders in accordance to law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
