Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to correct the extent of property in Survey No. 278/11.A in Vadacheri North Revenue Village, Orathanadu Taluk, Thanjavur District in the revenue records in accordance with the Revenue Divisional Officers proceedings No. 74/2018/A5 dated 08.07.2019 based upon the representation of the petitioner dated 03.03.2026.

ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to correct the extent of property in Survey No. 278/11.A in

Vadacheri North Revenue Village, Orathanadu Taluk, Thanjavur District in the revenue records in accordance with the Revenue Divisional Officers proceedings No. 74/2018/A5 dated 08.07.2019 based upon the representation of the petitioner dated 03.03.2026.

2.Originally, the property belonged to the petitioner's father. Subsequently, the petitioner has inherited the property. However. the extent of the property is wrongly mentioned in the revenue records. Hence, the petitioner is seeking to rectify the same. 3.Therefore, the second respondent shall consider the petitioner's representation after obtaining reports from the third respondent. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
