ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to direct the 2nd Respondent herein to expedite the investigation in Crime No. 1201 of 2022 dated 19.08.2022 and file a Final Report within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner is the complainant in Crime No.1201 of 2022 for the offences under Sections 417 and 420 of IPC and now the grievance of the petitioner is that, even after lapse of six months, investigation has not been completed.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police registered an FIR in Crime No.1201 of 2022 and that the investigation is in progress. Hence, he seeks five months time to file a final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate(Crl. Side), the second respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.1201 of 2022 before the 2/4

jurisdictional Magistrate Court, within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
