ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehended arrest at the hands of the respondent Police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 406 and 420 I.P.C., in Crime No.Not Known of 2016, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail.

Heard Mr.J.William Christopher, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.A.P.Balasubramani, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the State and Mr.M.Rajarajan, learned counsel appearing for the intervenor, who strongly objected to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

3. It is seen that on 08.02.2016 when the matter came up for hearing, it was represented by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) that petition enquiry was pending and hence this Court granted interim anticipatory bail to the petitioner on condition that he should report before the respondent Police daily at 10.30 a.m.

4. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the respondent Police, through the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), has filed a status report, wherein in Para No.8 it is stated as follows:

"8. It is further submitted that the matter is purely civil in nature and also the contractual business transaction between them. Therefore, we have advised them to approach the proper forum by way of filing civil case. Therefore, we have close the petition enquiry on 20.02.2016 and also the same was reported to the both parties also herein."

5. In view of the above, this criminal original petition is closed.
