Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent Nos.1 and 2 to pass a final order based on the enquiry conducted by the second respondent on 28.10.2020 on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 28.12.2020.

*********** This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the first and second respondents to issue joint patta in the name of the petitioner and his family members based on the petitioner's representation dated 28.12.2020. 2.The petitioner claims that he and his family members are the absolute owners of the property being Grama Natham land in Old Survey No.222 with New Survey No.222/536 at Rajapandi, Vellakal Village, V.K.Pudur Taluk, Tenkasi District. According to the petitioner, his father Mahalinga Thevar purchased the said property measuring an extent of 16 cents under Document No.1107/1963. The petitioner seeks for joint patta in the name of the petitioner and his family members for the aforementioned property. He has given a representation on 28.12.2020 to the official respondents for the said purpose. The petitioner also states that pursuant to the said representation, enquiry has already commenced but no final orders have been passed.

W.P.[MD]No.7534 of 2022 3.No prejudice would be caused to the second respondent if the petitioner's representation is considered on merits and in accordance with law after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner and the third respondent and any other necessary party whom the second respondent deems fit to enquire.
4.For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the second respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law in the petitioner's representation dated 28.12.2020, seeking for issuance of joint patta for the property comprised in Old Survey No.222 with New Survey No.222/536 at Rajapandi, Vellakal Village, V.K.Pudur Taluk, Tenkasi District, within a period of twelve [12] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of.
