This petition has been filed seeking to direct respondents 1 and 2 to survey the petitioner's property in S.No.767/19A to an extent of 0-1.15 Hector and another S.No.767/19B total to an extent of 0-0.48 Hector respectively situated at Thuvakudi Village, Thiruverumbur Taluk, Trichy District and to install the boundaries stones as per revenue records by obtaining adequate police protection from the 3rd respondent police within the stipulated period.1 2/6
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the property originally belonged to one Arockiyamary, the petitioner's mother. He further submitted that Arockiyamary executed a sale deed in favor of the petitioner on 06.06.2012, under Document No. 4579/2012, pertaining to 0.1.15 hectares out of a total of 0.1.63 hectares of the property. Based on this sale deed, Survey No. 767/19 was subdivided into S.No. 767/19A, measuring 0.1.15 hectares, and S.No. 767/19B, measuring 0.0.48 hectares. S.No. 767/19A was assigned to the petitioner under Patta No. 3956, while S.No. 767/19B was allocated to the petitioner's mother. After the petitioner's mother passed away on 09.05.2024, the petitioner and his siblings have been in peaceful possession of the property. The petitioner is now requesting a survey of the land and the installation of boundary stones.
3. Heard the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the 1st respondent to conduct the survey with the assistance of the second respondent after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as the siblings of the petitioner If necessary, seek police protection, the 3rd respondent shall provide police protection to survey the land. The Court is also directing the Official respondents to adhere to the following Standard Operating Procedures: a. The Official respondents shall issue notice to the petitioner immediately reaching the spot where survey is to be conducted. The petitioner shall affix the signature by receiving the notice of survey.
b. After survey again the petitioner shall affix signature indicating that the survey was conducted to their satisfaction.
c. If the petitioner is not satisfied, then also the petitioner shall affix signature indicating their dissatisfaction or with protest. The petitioner shall indicate that reason of their dissatisfaction or protest. 4/6
The aforesaid procedure shall be strictly followed by the parties The said exercise shall be completed within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
