O R D E R

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed for a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Cheranmahadevi, Tirunelveli District, to dispose of the S.T.C.No.673 of 2013 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Mr.S.Sathya Chidambaram, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that there are totally 20 accused in S.T.C.No.673 of 2013 and except A13, all other accused have been regularly appearing and in view of the non-appearance of the one accused, the case is being adjourned for a period of three years without any progress.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) would submit that if direction is given, the respondent police will co-operate for early disposal of the case.

4. Considering the submission, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Cheranmahadevi, Tirunelveli District is directed to dispose of the case in S.T.C.No.673 of 2013 on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and if necessary, the case against the absconding accused can be split up and this case can be disposed of.
