PRAYER: Criminal Original petition has been filed under Section 528 of BNSS, to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to provide police protection to the petitioner, family members life and limb on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 13.02.2025. O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to provide police protection to the petitioner, family members life and limb on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 13.02.2025.

According to the petitioner, he is the owner of the property in S.No.185/13, 234/2, 250/1, 250/2 and 250/3 to an extent of 7.80 acres situated Narasingapuram Village, Thuraiyur Taluk, Ariyalur Registration District, Trichy District. Some unknown persons have killed the goats and turkey kept in the above said land. To that effect, he lodged a complaint on 17.01.2025 and C.S.R.No.49 of 2025 was assigned, but no action was taken for the complaint. Thereafter, the petitioner sent a 2/5

representation for police protection on 13.02.2025 and the same has not been considered. Hence the petition.

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that already the petitioner lodged a complaint dated 17.01.2025 for killing of goats by unknown persons and they assigned C.S.R.No.49 of 2025 and the same was closed after enquiry. Now he sent representation for police protection and same is under enquiry. They will conduct enquiry and pass appropriate order in accordance with law.

Considering the limited prayer sought for in the petition, this Court even without issuing notice to the respondents no.3 to 10 inclined to dispose the petition by directing the 2nd respondent to consider the representation and conduct an enquiry on the basis of the representation dated 13.02.2025 and dispose of the same after affording an opportunity to both the parties, within a period of fifteen [15] days from the date of this order.

5. With the above said direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
