ORDER
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.Sathyasingh, learned standing counsel who takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.
2.The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the respondents to disburse unpaid retirement benefits to him. 3.It is stated that the petitioner was working in the third respondent Corporation as Special Grade Driver and was permitted to retire on 31.12.2012 on attaining the age of superannuation. It is further stated that retirement benefits have not been disbursed for the past two years.
4.Learned Standing Counsel for the respondents submitted that the retirement benefits of the employees who got retired are being disbursed as per their seniority with 6% interest. 5.Considering the above said submission, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to disburse the retirement benefits to the petitioner as per the seniority with 6% interest. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
6.Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is not in a position to know as to which position he is placed in the seniority. Therefore, the respondents are directed to furnish those information to the petitioner, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
