Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the first and second respondents to pay fair and reasonable amount of compensation to the petitioner for the death of his father by name Chinnaiyan during the 'Gaja Cyclone' on 17.11.2018 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 21.01.2022 in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.

This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to pay compensation to the petitioner for the death of his father by name Chinnaiyan during the 'Gaja Cyclone' on 17.11.2018, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 21.01.2022, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2.The petitioner claims that his father Chinnaiyan died during the Gaja cyclone on 17.11.2018. He claims that he is entitled for compensation as per the Government scheme under the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. The petitioner has given several representations to the respondents and the last such representation was made on 21.01.2022, for the said purpose. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. 3.Heard Mr.R.Alagumani, learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and Mr.B.Saravanan, learned Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. 4.On instructions, learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that the petitioner's representation has already been forwarded to the first respondent and it is under consideration.

However, he would submit that a minimum period of six [6] months is required to consider the petitioner's representation on merits and in accordance with law. The said statement is recorded. 5.For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the first respondent to pass final orders on the petitioner's representation dated 21.01.2022, seeking for compensation on account of the death of his father Chinnaiyan due to Gaja cyclone and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six [6] months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of.
