Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of habeas corpus directing the respondents to produce the person or body of the detenu namely, Haripandi, aged about 20/2021 years, son of Sivaraj, before this Court, who is now detained in the Central Prison, Tiruchirappalli in pursuant to the detention order passed by the second respondent in P.D.No.38 of 2021, dated 24.03.2021 and to call for the records and to quash the same and release the detenu at liberty forthwith. O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed by the Sister of the detenu, namely, Haripandi, son of Sivaraj, aged about 20/2021 years,challenging the detention order in P.D.No.38 of 2021, dated 24.03.2021 passed by the second respondent, branding him as "Drug Offender" as contemplated under Section 2(e) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Standing Counsel for the State appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of G.O.Rt.No.2079, Home, Prohibition & Excise (XV) Department, dated 04.05.2021, would state that the impugned detention order has been revoked.

3. Recording the above submission, the habeas corpus petition is closed.
