ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking for a direction to give adequate police protection to the petitioner's life and limb and also his family members as represented in a petition dated 18.03.2023.
2. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that originally an agricultural land bearing Survey No.14/1 and 15/4, situated at Oorakkarai Village, Musiri Taluk, Trichy District, to the extent of 2.5 acres, originally belonging to one Murugan. He has sold the same under registered sale deed in favour of one Periyasamy who in turn sold the same to one Saravanan, who also sold the property in favour of one Santhanam who subsequently sold the same in favour of the petitioner under registered sale deed, thereby the petitioner become an absolute owner and in possession and enjoyment of the property. Accordingly, all 2/5
the revenue records stated to be mutated to the name of the petitioner. It is further submitted that taking advantage of the absence of the petitioner in the village, whenever, the petitioner comes to village and try to reach the land purchased by him, the said Murugan, has been threatening, on which the petitioner has filed a complaint before the third respondent for giving police protection.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submits that on receipt of the complaint, the police have called the said Murugan and the property which petitioner claims, also claimed by said Murugan. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) however submitting that appropriate notice will be issued to the Murugan and other parties and the said representation will be disposed of within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. The same is recorded. Further, the petitioner is at liberty to file fresh application before the police, in case of any threat from the said Murugan comes, on which, the third respondent is directed to take appropriate action, against said Murugan.
