ORDER

Seeking to quash the final report in C.C.No.47 of 2020 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thirumangalam, Madurai District, the present petition is filed by the petitioner/sole accused.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.R.M.Anbunithi, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent would contend that trial had already commenced and the case in C.C.No. 47 of 2020 is now posted for examination of Investigation Officer.

3. At this stage, this Court cannot go into the merits of the case based on the 161 (3) Cr.P.C., statements recorded by the Police. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
