COMMON ORDER The Writ Petitions are filed for a mandamus directing the respondents to take immediate and necessary action to ensure the safety of the Petitioners' brothers R.Sahaya Jenizh Raj and J.Judelin and thereby rescue them from Iran and consequently, direct the respondents to send them back to India. 2.In W.P(MD)No.6543 of 2026, R.Sahaya Jenizh Raj is the brother of the Petitioner and in W.P(MD)No.6544 of 2026, J.Judelin is the brother of the Petitioner. It is the contention in both the Writ Petitions that the above said persons are in Iran and a direction should be given to the authorities to rescue them from Iran and consequently bring them back to India in view of the war situation prevailing in the said country.

3.When the matter came up for hearing today, the learned Deputy Solicitor General of India taking notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 4 submitted that the first respondent is not the appropriate authority in respect of the relief prayed in the Writ Petition. With reference to the situation in Iran is concerned, the Indian Embassy in the said country is taking all such steps as may be possible to render all assistance to the citizens of India. Officials and the needful will be done to ensure their safety to the best possible extent. As far as evacuation from the country is concerned, it is stated that all the ports and airports have been closed till 14.3.2026. Depending on the war situation, steps will be taken further to bring back the willing citizens of our country. 4.In view thereof, the brothers of the Petitioners shall avail the assistance of the Embassy of Iran by making use of the contact numbers and e-mail IDS by forwarding their details and seek their assistance.

5.With the above-said observations, the Writ Petitions stand disposed of. No costs.
