The petitioner seeks limited relief of a writ of mandamus to direct his pending appeal with the 1st respondent to be disposed of expeditiously.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 and 2.

3. The petitioner's appeal, aggrieved by the order of the 2nd respondent, has been preferred before the 1st respondent as early as on 23.10.2019 and later, on 02.03.2020. The order of the 2nd respondent was passed in the year beck on 30.09.2019. It is not known why the 1st respondent has kept the appeal of the petitioner pending for more than 5 years.

4. Considering that the appeal is pending form October 2019, a direction is issued to the 1st respondent to consider the same and pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner and the 3rd respondent, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of 2/4

this order.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
