ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to grant permission and police protection to conduct the programme namely Adal Padal in Arulmighu Adaikalamkathar Temple festival on 06.06.2018 from 06.00 p.m., to 11.00 p.m., at Senkeerai Village, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukkottai District on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 15.05.2018 and 02.06.2018. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, It came to the knowledge of this Court that the programme is to be conducted on today i.e., on 06.06.2018. Therefore, at this stage, the prayer sought for by the petitioner in this writ petition cannot be granted. Hence, the writ petition is liable to be dismissed as not maintainable.

4.In the result, this writ petition is dismissed as not maintainable. No costs. However, liberty is given to the petitioner to make a fresh representation to the respondents, if so advised. This order will not stand in the way for the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law.
