This Criminal Original petition is filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 21.06.2017, and to provide sufficient police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Criminal side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.
3. It is submitted that the petitioner has given a complaint against the third respondent.

4. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner belongs to Scheduled Caste. She is working as Nurse in a private clinic at Chinalapatty. It is stated that the petitioner had developed an affair with the third respondent and as a result, the petitioner was conceived. It is further stated that the third respondent induced the petitioner on the promise that he would marry her. After conception, the third respondent refused to marry the petitioner. However, later with the persuasion of the police officer in All Women Police Station, Dindigul, the third respondent admitted to marry the petitioner and the marriage was solemnized on 15.06.2017. However, after the marriage, the petitioner submits that the third respondent started to ill-treat the petitioner and unmindful of her pregnancy the third respondent assaulted her. Though a complaint was given, the same was not registered by the respondent police.
5. Having regard to the allegations, the Criminal Original petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent police to give police direction to the life and limb of the petitioner and to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 21.06.2017 and to take appropriate action in the manner known to law.
