Mr.B.Ramanathan, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents.

2. With the consent of both sides, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4. The short grievance of the petitioner in this writ petition is that the disciplinary proceedings that were initiated against him before the Tribunal for Disciplinary Proceedings vide charge memo bearing ROC No.A1/73/2021 (TDP.08/2020), dated 17.11.2021, are still pending and the same are not being concluded despite of the fact that the petitioner has already retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation on 30.06.2025 and in view of the pendency of the disciplinary proceedings, his terminal benefits are not being settled to him. Hence, learned counsel for the petitioner prays for appropriate direction to the second respondent to conclude

the disciplinary proceedings that were initiated against the petitioner by issuing the impugned charge memo dated 17.11.2021.

Mr.B.Ramanathan, learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents, fairly submitted that the second respondent may be directed to conclude the disciplinary proceedings that were initiated against the petitioner pursuant to the impugned charge memo dated 17.11.2021, as expeditiously as possible.

6. In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to conclude the disciplinary proceedings that were initiated against the petitioner pursuant to the impugned charge memo dated 17.11.2021, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, positively within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
